The original question was: how do you respond to beliefs or ideas that seem completely false, perhaps even ridiculously so. FSM was the example of a ridiculous belief system, so that's where this is coming from. And yeah, I would say that literally believing that there is a divine plate of pasta in the sky is pretty ridiculous
