"Crab Pulsar An Introduction to Radio Telescopes and Pulsar Astronomy" there's actually quite alot of scarryness about it, amoungst which are electronics, fourier transforms (could never ge my head round them), and programming
it's going to be an interesting and usefull experiment, I've never used a real telescope like this before. but it seems like a hard experiment, harder than alot/most of the 3rd year experiments :s
That's made me go all squishy inside. Like a schoolkid's dream happening in real. When I were a lad radio telescopy was awe inspiring, the mysterious leading edge of science, the realm of Sputnik, Telstar, Yuri Gagarin and limitless imagination. Go girl!
and we're gonna be studying pulsars, which when first detected were dubbed LGM 'Little Green Men' cos the regularity of the pulses were thought to maybe be inteligent life. I'll wave at them for you
