...went to the West for La Prova Dura, and to San Jose for Costume-Con. Both wonderful weekends, each deserving an individual post. We'll see if that happens.

...committed to a Pentathlon entry in needlework  for Team Lyondemere. Right now I'm considering an embroidered camecia.

what does investures mean? and this doesnt really have to do with your post i just thought this was a good way to get you a message. :0) what is your device? how come you dont have it posted on the lyondemere page like the king and queen do in the caid page. i know your device for now is the lyondemere thingy but do you have you very own. does it have anything to do with thomas' device? like do they match? ok just curious.

Investiture is the term we use for the ceremony giving new barons and baronesses their office: this year Altavia, Gyldenholt, Angels, Dreiburgen and Calafia are all changing barons and baronesses. I don't know that we've ever had so many in one year before.

My device is a red field with a bottle-nosed dolphin in base and a sprig of orange blossoms in chief: you can see a picture of it here: http://laurels.sca-caid.org/Angelina.htm. There's no conscious reason it's not on the Lyondemere website: we just never made a point of having much personal information up there, and no one else has either. My arms don't have anything to do with Thomas's arms as we each registered them long before we met each other. His arms are harder to describe, and I don't think there's a picture anywhere online: it's a purple field with a large circle of ermine spots in the center, and in the circle is a cross with four arrow points on the ends.

Costume Con!

Oooooh, yes! I wanna hear all about Costume con! It sounds great. Hey, I promise I'll tell you all about Comic-con, when we go in July.

Also, we had Ray Bradbury speak up here. Very nice. Will post more on it later, and on going to the Rosebowl Swapmeet for Mother's Day, with dinner at the Bahooka afterwards.

Am now destroying my remaining brain cells reading an "alien love" sci-fi romance novel.
