The More I Promised Later (still without pictures)

There are about a gazillion pictures of my lovely new dress out there, but can I figure out how to embed or link to one? EPIC FAIL. Will get Thomas's help later.

The weight's really been getting to me lately--some years and a good 20 pounds ago I tested with borderline sleep apnea, and lately my sleep's been particularly difficult. Even before ( Read more... )

Years ago I did Medifast, which is pretty much the same thing. I was on it for 2 weeks but had to get off because the powders for the meal replacements made me sick. But by that time I'd lost a good amount of weight and was able to take it from there.

I'm glad you got a good start off Medifast, even if you weren't able to continue. I'm doing okay so far.

If you are still doing well then just keep at it. I've been thinking about doing it again. At the very least I might get some good ground work to continue loosing pounds.

It has a lot to recommend it. I was on Weight Watchers, which is a good program, but I got very frustrated with the slow pace, the plateaus, and the amount of weight I needed to lose. I might go back to it after I hit my target weight.

omg! 800 calories!? you are going to starve. granted i live on crap that is terrible for me but wow. thats not very many calories. chad has sleep apnea and refuses to admit it. sometimes he stops breathing and it wakes me up and i poke him and he gasps. good thing im a light sleeper i guess. sheesh

Actually, I haven't been hungry so far--which lets you know how much I didn't really need to eat the stuff I used to eat. People with sleep apnea invariably know less about their problem than the people sleeping with them. I used to scare Thomas to death sometimes.

Yes! As soon as I hit goal weight, I'm making a bunch of stuff so I don't dare put any weight back on.

*hug* Best of luck with the program. Please let me know what I can do to be supportive. I know how difficult all of these things are.

Thanks very much. It's been okay so far--I'm not really hungry, but that doesn't mean I don't miss food. Christmas is gonna suck this year.
