I get nothing. Not even my own room. Not even a place to put my stuff other than Joe's drawers. The only thing I would have to pay for is water bills. Not even electric, because if joe watches TV then I watch TV, and it's no different than having one kid. Joe says that he does the bills for his mom, and water was always like 30 dollars. This is fucking retarded.

i am sure they see it as the fact that you are living in their house, so they feel you owe them something. i know it doesn't make sense, as, like you said, you are only using water because you eat your own food and don't use any energy that wouldn't already be used. but parents see things differently. they probably didn't even think that you were actually going to move in, and they are probably pretty irritated by it. i am sure your mom would be, too.

but $300 is kind of steep.

Im pretty sure you make enough to pay for that.
As one paycheck will pay for that, and then some.
People afford that making min wage.
Look at it this way... the least you would ever pay in tucson would be $450, and the least in Orange county would be $1000.

You could always become a bartender when you turn 19... some of them make that in one night.

Yep... atleast they dont charge for the electricity you use and the gas. If you shower there, you are using gas. Do you ever watch their cable?
