its things like this that aren't very comforting...
and people still drive around in their huge suv's and think that there is nothing wrong w/ the world! its stupid!
what really gets me is the people that claim that the hurricane and the damage they caused were an act of god or something. bc yeah, god is a greater being or whatever, but he's not just going to strike down hundreds or thousands of people just bc he wants to make a point.
at least we know that global warming isn't the cause of strong hurricanes.
since global warming was abounding around the industrial revolution and that being when the strongest hurricane on record hit the US (Galveston, TX 1900).
Now 105 years later hurricanes are still no stronger. Strongest ever - 1900. Second strongest - Camille 1969. Third strongest - Rita 2005.
And just because there's a shit ton of hurricanes this year doesn't mean a damn thing about global warming. This happened back in the 30's and 40's, it's a cycle the earth goes through.
