We had our first LEGO Club yesterday, with 10 kids from elementary through high school age attending, but the big news was a donation. That's an amazing donation! Progeny decided at some point she had outgrown her Lego sets and wanted to sell them online, but we talked her into holding off. My brother is an Adult Lego Enthusiast, and one of the sets he created for her-pieces, instructions, and everything. I wanted to leave open the possibility that she might go back to it as an adult.

Good luck with the STEM Club! I loved the catapult.

I never really got into LEGO myself. May have just been too expensive at the time, or my mom may have wanted to avoid stepping on them. We didn't have as much gendered toys back then, so that wasn't the issue. Remember loving Lincoln Logs back in the day though.

If you have the space to store them, I think it's worth keeping them. She can always change her mind later. What I think is cool about them is they don't change. You could have some from today and some from the 80s, and they'd still work together.

I loved Lego for a time, but then I found other things I loved more. My brother just kept going, and he's brilliant at it. He's in a group that does displays for holidays.

We have space, so we're keeping them for now! And they won't lose value.

I think they include my old set from the late 70s or early 80s, but my brother may have ended up with that.
