The Collective is trying to rear it's ugly head...

and I'm not having it, okay? But I need to journal about that little bitch's remark to "get over myself". No, sweetie, I'm just finding out who I am and I've just started having a love affair with me! I was tempted to remind her of Nelson Mandela's famous words. Then decided, nah... this is something I especially need to do for myself.

Good for you! I always wish I could just say what I think instead of being polite. If someone doesn't like my opinions or the way I live my life, or any other thing about me, it's their opinion and their right and if they choose to express it to me, they should be willing to hear me defend myself or tell them right back what I think of theirs. I've always been too polite or afraid to rock the boat to do so, but I think the day may come where someone disagrees with my choices and I say "Well if you don't like it, I can hardly change your mind, so feel free to just FUCK RIGHT OFF!"

I'm always worried of alienating people by saying exactly what I think, even to idiots, but maybe those people are worth alienating. I think I'm going to start not taking shit from people who are unworthy. Certain people are too up their own ass to exist around normal people.

i think that's something we all struggle with. to this day, i hate debating or disagreeing with someone, because it just doesn't seem worth the pain and hassle of being misunderstood, or having to withstand an attack if someone feels threatened by what i've said.

but definitely, if i can learn to not take shit from people who are unworthy, i will be able to die happy.

You know what I'm learning Lana? That sometimes its in our best interest not to respond to assholes. The lesson, I'm beginning to believe, is not to internalize their bullshit. They can say that crap but it doesn't make it true. We know our worth. We know we're good, kind, loving, honest, caring, decent people. Doesn't matter what others say. Just because we refuse to let people walk all over us does not make us bad or inferior. That's what I'm starting to tell myself. Anyone who doesn't like me because I won't tolerate their shit any longer can FUCK OFF! (in the words of Kater) :).

How fucking empowering is that. Hah!

Let the truth of life shine through, Kater. You know that of which you speak. So the next time you run across a jerk, use the words of the two-gun slinger from TX (Taz's better half) -- "FUCK 'EM! HE/SHE CAN KISS MY ASS! ASSHOLE!"

And me and Lana have your back! Just say the word and we'll triple team them. Uh, right, Lana?
