Interesting video...I hope the girl effect extends to girls right here in the U.S. too. Living on Welfare Lane as I do, I see a whole lot of women who could use some empowering.
I was just looking at one of the organizations they get donations from/for CARE. And it looks like some of their money does stay in the US. But I can't seem to figure out how much. I did find a bunch of US based organizations through the Global Giving website, which they also link to. So that's something.
