My Top 12 Het Pairings
I felt the need to make this list to prove I'm not a total rabid yaoi fangirl, and I do actually have some straight ships XD Yes, I seem to like making lists recently. The pictures here aren't as pretty as I'd like because I generally don't have het pictures since get all mine from cm
15. Tidus and Rikku (Final Fantasy X)
Okay, I know Tidus' true love was Yuna and everything, but before Yuna was introduced I really liked the idea of Tidus and Rikku, and that continued throughout the game. I especially like her "being scared of thunder" parts, and the two special ship-tease scenes you could get. It sucked that you couldn't choose who to get together with, and found him and Yuna beautiful, but I truly like him with Rikku a lot more =[
14. Inuyasha & Kagome (Inuyasha)
Okay, I admit Kagome is kind of bitchy towards Inuyasha at times but I still really enjoy their story and love them together. I really loved the ending of the series, it was so touching <3
13. Dawn & Barry (Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum)
This is kind of an unusual one I think xD I don't watch the anime any more, so forget that, I'm talking about player/rival in the games. I'm not really sure why I like it so much, but they're childhood friends, and Barry really looks up to her in a way, and he's so hyperactive and annoying and yet she puts up with him, and I find it cute, heh.
12. Taka & Kana (Kana: Little Sister)
Ah, this story was such an emotional experience and I got behind these two like crazy. Taka was so caring to Kana, and seeing her develop feeling for him and him struggling with his own feeling for her, along with his fear of her death was heartbreaking. The game had so many bad endings and so upon finally managing to get them their happy ending I was so happy I totally cried >.>
11. Shadow & Rouge (Sonic, mostly Heroes and Adventure2)
Okay, this is a real childhood one, but this was pretty much my first OTP. They have a partners in crime dynamic (which I'm a sucker for) and they obviously care about each other somewhat. Being really into the sonic fandom once is sort of a secret shame for me especially shipping the fan-service character with Emo the Hedgehog but hey, they totally have chemistry XD
10. Keitaro & Motoko (Love Hina)
Right, so I really adored the Love Hina manga, but even if it was obvious from the start Keitaro and Naru would end up together, I never quite gave up on these two. Especially once Motoko fell in love with him
9. Keiichi & Rena (Higurashi)
When I first watched this I thought from the beginning that these two were cute, and the feeling only intensified as the series went on. Both of them went through the same experiences and Keiichi helping Rena through her madness and snapping her out of it was lovely, especially as it was the first "good ending" in the show. I also just find all their little interactions cute, and I like that it's never stated outright, just hinted at occasionally. I do like Keiichi with Mion too, but him and Rena are definitely my OTP of the series.
8. Neji & Hinata (Naruto)
...okay, there isn't really an explanation for this besides that I read a seriously amazing fanfic once. But in defence of NejiHina, cousins to me does not count as incest on a serious level, and it might be necessary in order to pass down the byakugan anyway. And if it is forbidden, that makes for some exiting romance especially with him being from a branch family who is supposed to be "serving" her or whatever. Also Neji doesn't hate Hinata, in fact we see them training together at one point and when they meet as children he says she is cute <3
7. Ichigo and Kisshu (Tokyo Mew Mew)
Okay, Kisshu's stalker-ish tendencies and trying to kill Ichigo and such don't make for a healthy relationship, but honestly, that is why I like it XD Not how out of all the semi-romantic moments to choose from I go for him trying to kill her >.> But yeah, like most Mew Mew fans, I detest Ichigo's cannon love interest. Kisshu though, loved her enough to (almost) die for her.
6. Seung Mina & Yunsung (Soul Caliber)
I haven't even played the newest SC games yet, but I've been rooting for these two since Yunsung was first introduced, they just have a really fun, cute dynamic. Kind of mentor/student, only he doesn't listen one bit. And she likes him enough to search across the world for him xD Also, in Mina's SC3 ending, she is totally flirting with him. And I've read about the SC4 ending, and I like it =D So yeah, I don't buy the whole Yunsung/Talim thing the games keep hinting at, it's rubbish XD (It's worth mentioning I also ship Tira/Nightmare, but I don't know if Nightmare even counts as "male" idk, it's too creepy to bring up XD)
5. Haruka & Sora (Yosuga No Sora)
Right, incest pairings have always been a favourite of mine, and this is the one of the fist cannon ones I've ever rooted for. Seeing them finally get together after 10 episodes of Haruka getting it on with everyone was lovely. Their interactions were really adorable and they were so obviously happy together. I also liked that they touched on the forbidden aspect of it, lots of shows just act like it's normal but this was realistic in that it was really difficult for them.
4. Atem & Mana (Yu-Gi-Oh)
Yeah, these two grew up together and really care about each other, and I like the idea that they could have had a romantic relationship in the past. I also think they balance each other well, with Mana being so cheerful and him being serious. Plus they've got the whole having different roles and statuses thing, which I like =D
3. Harry & Luna (Harry Potter)
Unlike many fans who were upset and Harry not hooking up with Hermione, (my dad, for example XD), I desperately wanted Harry to get together with Luna. He was one of the first people to really acknowledge her as a friend, and their growing friendship was really touching, especially when she had lost her belongings and when she comforts him after Sirius' death. Also, they can identify with each other well since they're both quite misunderstood and have both lost parents whilst still having complimentary personalities.
2. Sora & Naminé
I see this couple as a really tragic love. Of course the memories in Sora's head were all fake, but they felt real to him ,like a part of him. And as for Namine, she was very much in love with Sora, which made her do the right thing the the end. He forgave her for everything, and defended her even after knowing she had tricked him. But of course, he chose his true memories in the end, meaning he had to forget her, which I personally found terribly upsetting, especially when they finally do meet again and he doesn't recognize her (and then she disappears..)

Oh, these two <3 There are no words. I never thought I'd love a het ship so passionately, let alone one which is totally cannon. But aww, Shinra's devotion towards her, and her slight tsundere tendencies (which don't go too far) make for such an adorable couple! Not to mention the fact that both of them kick ass in the series. It seems to me that out of the many strange couples in the series, they are in some ways the most normal.

So, my main observation making this list is that there are only 2 4 cannon pairings on here, the rest are all "alternative" pairings to what is cannon or mostly hinted at. So yeah, it's not just me being a yaoi fangirl, I just prefer subtext to text? XD Excellent discovery =D
