you don't need to worry, as you know we Riley's are like bad pennies. we always turn up.

thank you for your words. I am halfway into a bottle of Malbec. I gotta get prepared it appears the margarita machine is fully functional at my Aunt Terri's house.

what?! you expected something other than an Irish wake?

tomorrow, we'll go visit our life-in-boxes. i will feed you dinner and then send you on your way. i believe now that home is conceptual not geographical. we share ours. wish i could hold your hand in oklahoma, but then who would take you to the airport? i'm sorry about gary. i'm sorry i never got to hear all his stories about you and geoff as little buggers.

i have always known that home is conceptual. it took a lot of geography to figure that out ( ... )

i love the silly shit like that. it's part of what makes this superglue (or is it rubber cement?) between us. and i expect pictures. bad hair and all. my scanner's still out and available.

as for why i'm sorry, it's that the gary stories will be in past tense.

good luck with yer mum. and i will see you tomorrow, m'dear. i have lots of plans to share with you and you have lots of memories to share with me.

you said.: "as for why i'm sorry, it's that the gary stories will be in past tense."

once again, you speak for many.

there are a lot of us who never imagined speaking of him in the past tense. Geoff was torn up this a.m. on the phone. because of what happened with him and our dad, he had our Papa and Gary as our models for "father". So this is like his 2nd dad had died. i feel so bad for him.

and it is Super Glue!! cement cracks..rubber or otherwise.

I'm sorry about your uncle. He was really young! Wow! What's with young guys and heart attacks this weekend? :(

I am deeply saddened by his passing. I am just really glad I got to know him, even if it was briefly. he was a really wonderful man, as evidenced by the 2 Morgan boys and 2 Riley boys he helped raise. I know that legacy will pass onto all of you. have a safe trip.
