Someone else had been there with her not long ago. She blinked several times in rapid succession, propping herself up with one hand as she braced the heel of the other against her forehead, taking a ( Read more... )

[A giant walks down the street, dressed in a waiter's uniform. He is more huge than Joachim. Which is pretty bloody huge to begin with. He will give her a grave nod.]

[Karin looks momentarily startled, if only by the man's size. Joachim is huge, but this man is a brick wall. She nods hesitantly, one hand against the open doorway, looking bewildered.]

[Karin quickly tucks the pamphlet from Garviel behind her back, nodding once to the new arrival -- who seems to be acting perfectly normal, as far as she can tell. That must rule her out as being one of those 'drones' the pamphlet had mentioned. She smiles back, hesitant but genuine.]

[Karin offers her a grim smile.]

coming home! dappergeek March 6 2011, 11:24:15 UTC

Hi, honey! nibelungprelude March 6 2011, 23:16:33 UTC
[Karin was just about to head inside when she heard a man's voice, accompanied by footsteps coming up the walk. She paused, looking over her shoulder before turning to face him fully.]

I... yes. I live here. [So it certainly seemed, anyway.] ... you live here, as well? [She recalled the still-warm bedsheets upstairs.]

Looks like we're both new.

[A slight, blue haired albino girl with amber eyes stares at Karin when she leaves her house, walking by and making chalk markings on the street every few feet]

"Hello."

[Karin blinks a few times as she witnesses the girl making chalk marks.] Hello. ... if you don't mind my asking, what are you doing?

"Mapping this town. Its a very odd place, and I don't generally trust the maps of it."

From what little I know of the place, that seems like a fair assessment. I wouldn't trust much that's directly linked to this place.
