Chapter 3
It had been a few days after the confrontation between Jaejoong and Yunho, but nothing happened after that and Jaejoong was quite relieved about that. He was hoping that everything would still remain at the same state and that Yunho would forget about what he had said the other day.
It would be hard to hide Ji Shin’s pregnancy when the tummy grew bigger, and the only thing Jaejoong was planning to do was to steal some money from the house and bring Ji Shin with him to leave the house.
Ji Shin’s condition had not gotten any better and Jaejoong was really worried about him, but he could not asked the family doctor to check on him because he did not want Yunho to find out about Ji Shin’s pregnancy, nor he could bring him out for medical check-up since Ji Shin would refused going and ended up being hysterical.
“Mommy, how are you today?” It was always the introductory sentence of Jaejoong to Ji Shin these recent days since the funeral was held.
No response, as usual.
After Joon Hyuk’s tragic death, Ji Shin was in dreary state every day and would just sit on the bed holding on their family photo.
“Please, you need to take care of yourself for the sake of the baby inside you! Mommy, won’t you want him to be born healthy?!” Jaejoong stated desperately, he felt helpless.
Ji Shin remained silence, still staring on the photo.
He had been talking to him for the past few days but earned no response. It was like he was talking to a doll, a lifeless doll.
Jaejoong sighed and noticed the empty jar on the side table, “I’ll get you some water.”
Despite making sure that Ji Shin had his meals and daily necessities, there was nothing he could do for him. He only hoped that Ji Shin would eventually recover soon.
He took the water jar and headed to the door, but terrified to see Yunho right in front of the door when he opened it, that person who had not shown up in the past few days.
What frightened him was the dangerous aura coming from Yunho, which made him to feel short of breath and did not know what to react.
“My pet, shouldn’t you be greeting your master when you see him?” Yunho said while giving an unpredictable smile.
“Master.” Jaejoong nervously cleared his throat and greeted him, his eyes avoiding eye contact with him.
“I was looking for my pet and I heard something. Did I hear something about…… Hmm…… let me think……” He paused with an evil smirk.
Jaejoong’s eyes widened, Yunho sounded as if he had heard something that was meant to be kept as a secret, at least not to let Yunho know about it.
“No, you heard nothing, you heard nothing.” Jaejoong denied, praying hard that Yunho did not heard his words to Ji Shin just now.
“Yes, I heard something interesting. Why are you so nervous about it? Or is it suppose to be a secret?” Yunho inched closer to Jaejoong, whispering while making an innocent look which appealed to be more suspicious to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong shook his head roughly, “No, there’s no any secret. No, nothing.”
“Are you sure? But I heard something about…… baby?” Yunho’s expression became serious and pointed to Ji Shin who was still sitting on the bed, “Is he pregnant? Pregnant with my father’s baby?”
Seemed like his prayer did not work, but Jaejoong still held on to lying about it and talked calmly, “No, there’s no baby, how could there be?”
“Don’t lie to me! You think I’m deaf? Last time it was you, now it’s the baby. Even if my father is dead, there’s still a baby to come between me and him. You and your mother killed my mother, you think I would let it to be born?” He gave a sarcastic laugh, “You must be worried that I’ll kill the baby, don’t you? That’s why you’re hiding it from everyone.”
“No, please don’t hurt them.” Jaejoong pleaded, he could even hear his voice trembling.
“You want me to spare them? Fine, then how about if you……hmm…… Let’s see, how about if you cut yourself on any area of your arm but don’t let yourself die, then I’ll consider about that. ” Yunho took out a penknife from his pocket and handed to Jaejoong.
Shakily, Jaejoong took the penknife and slid out the blade. The sharpness gleam seemed to hurt his eyes so much.
He closed his eyes and cut it straight from his elbow to the arm, not reaching his wrist.
It hurts, but there was nothing more hurt than having his own brother to rival him.
“Are you satisfied now?” Jaejoong looked at Yunho who was apparently shocked that he actually cut himself and asked coldly. The sudden of blood loss was causing him to feel spinning, but he tried hard to stay conscious.
Yunho slapped hard on his face, “That’s not a way a pet should talk to his master!”
He never thought that Jaejoong would actually cut himself, he was only expecting him to kneel down and beg to him, that was what he wanted.
But seeing the blood rushing out from his arm, Yunho somehow felt enraged with Jaejoong hurting himself.
It was weird, seeing Jaejoong’s stubborn gaze enraged him more.
“I won’t hurt them…… only for now.” He said and then left.
Jaejoong felt relieved, he guessed he still have some time to get everything ready and get out from this house.
Covering his wounded arm with another hand, he quickly entered his room which was just beside Ji Shin’s room and took out the first aid kit from the television drawer.
After he treated the wound, he laid himself on the bed and started to think that he should start his plan as soon as possible.

Jaejoong’s heart was pounding fast as he quietly insert the key into the key lock of Yunho’s reading room, which was previously Joon Hyuk’s.
He found the key from Ji Shin’s room and was glad that the God was actually helping him.
It was late at night and Yunho was not yet back at home.
This would be the best opportunity for him and Ji Shin to escape from the house.
Somehow, he felt grateful that Yunho had not instructed any guards to spy on him.
Maybe he was nothing at all to him.
He successfully sneaked into the room, and proceeded to the safety box.
He had seen Joon Hyuk opened it once and asked him to remember the code for it, in case if anything happen, they would still have access to the cash inside.
He opened up the safety box and took out a few thin pile of money which he thought would be sufficient for their future living, and put them into his bag.
He hurriedly went out of the room and made sure the room was locked, before he went to Ji Shin’s room.
Ji Shin was sound asleep as Jaejoong had given him some sleeping pills mixed together with water after dinner.
With all his strength, he carried Ji Shin in bridal style while had all necessary stuffs packed in his backpack and got his way towards the back door of the house silently.
Usually there would be no guards at the back are of the house at that time as he had observed, Jaejoong carefully moved towards the back gate of the house.
Without hesitation, he opened up the gate slowly so that the noise could be reduced. Once he succeeded, he ran out as fast as possible until he saw the taxi which he had called.
Carefully placing Ji Shin at the back seat, Jaejoong then shifted himself beside Ji Shin and closed the car door, asking the taxi driver to start driving.
“Goodbye, Jung Yunho.” Jaejoong said inside his heart while the sight of the house grew far away until it diminished from his sight.
