congrats! 8 weeks is a nice decent sized gig. most crew around here only work for 4 or 5 weeks, so 8 is great! (didn't mean to rhyme there) you'll be amazed at how fast that goes. i was hired on to do 22 week for feature once, which totally freaked me right out. but it went away after only 3 weeks of work. then the next year it came back, and i was hired on for even more weeks! but then it went away after 6.....if it comes back again this year, maybe i'll get 12 weeks out of it? if it comes back, though, which i doubt it ever will....

the red teacup print was my favourite fabric of the bunch you showed us earlier....

YAY! Thanks for your support Lucy! :) I really appreciate your input esepcially cos I know you know what it's like to have these crazy, intense, all-consuming jobs and then big scary blank patches of nothing inbetween! :)

I hope your 22 week feature comes back! Lots of jobs here seem to go away before they' ve even started... US jobs especially... I guess it's the distance thing... it's probably cheaper to shoot in Cananda actually at the moment, cos the US/AUS exchange rate is currently quite bad for the USA (good for Aussie ebayers though!).

anyway... will keep you posted on this job! I'm kinda scared! x

oh, don't be scared! chances are you will be too busy to even realize that you are scared, actually. it really will go by fast.....

That is exciting about the series! "Professional friendmaking" is much nicer but, to be honest, everyone networks so frenetically here in Tokyo that I don't even think of it as a dubious concept anymore... it seems like all the English-speaking jobs turn up because of people you know.
I love the red teacup fabric too - what are you going to use it for?

thanks Suzy! :) as for the fabric... oh... I have a very bad habit of buying fabric before I have any idea what it might get used for! That's why I have such a ridiculous fabric stash... but.. if you have any suggestions for the tea-cups I wanna know! Sometimes when fabric is super-gorgeous I become paralysed and don't feel I can make anything with it that would do it justice!
