not so much independent as spending a lot of time alone

I've decided that while I very much enjoy clicking on little hearts next to posts and reliving fun Arashi moments, overall TUMBLR is very solitary for me. It's a place to put things I like, track things I like, etc. but it's not a social experience. I post something and then I get a bunch of notes that don't say anything D: And no one is liking me ( Read more... )

travel, tumblr, british things are the best, television, creepers continue

Exactly my thoughts about tumblr. I miss old LJ and I miss friends who haven't updated their journals again in months, or perhaps years, still hoping that they'll be back sometimes in the future. I keep thinking if a new friending meme will solve the problem, but well, I don't know. People are more active in tumblr, anyway.

Be careful about the creeper and about tv shows, I'm watching Suits and New Girl and of course, Downtown Abbey, although I'm still waiting for the pirated dvds to come out :)

I knooow. There are some people who either warned about it or the writing was on the wall kind of deal, but then there are people who just ~disappeared~ one day and I've never heard from them again! FOR YEARS I've been trying to track down font who used to send me things and was my co-mod at oretachinosong, but she stopped replying to emails and everything. I still get sad thinking about it.

Friend meme might be good! I'm at a point now where things are so quiet it would be nice to make new friends. <3

NEW GIRLLLLLL. I love that show to pieces. Downton Abbey too. What is it you like about Suits? Maybe I'll have to check it out.

Aw yeah, that sounds really sad indeed :<

Want to make a Johnny's friend meme on March? Where do they usually post these things, in their own journals or in somewhat new comm?

Suits is great! First, all the woman cast are FIERCE with a capital F. The main characters are two guys, but I especially love how they put a clever, sexy African-American women as the top boss. Everyone seems to be super smart, and I've been enjoying the witty dialogues and great chemistry between the cast!

Check out the show for yourself ;)

I think people usually just make journals with 'meme' in the name and then advertise it and people comment. If you post one in march I will definitely respond to it. :)

I love a fierce woman character! All righty~ You have said enough my friend I will give it a shot next. ♥

OMG!!! Freaking scary. PLease take care yourself.
HAte it when we can't feel safe in our own house T T

Been wanting to watch Elementary (the title choice is abit......weird).
I was craving for MAster Chef Australia. Love to watch cooking shows, esp those with good plot n cooking technique to display ^^ Not a fan of any of the franchise. US is well......okay, but still the stereotype of US reality show. Too much drama n favoritism being played there. HAte n dramatiseddddd XDD Last season, the winner was a blind chef! I like her, one of my fave, still I think it's not entirely purelu win win hehehe.
Australia was different. Watch it^^ I recommend season 2, 3, then 1, then 4.

Just knew Dexter, n watched latest season. Season7 :P Serial killer series. Hmm.....I think the plot n idea is fresh.

Miss to watch some nice Jdrama/movie. It's all Nino's fault! You's better have a drama/movie or something this year! Hmm...seeing my sentence there, I think I miss NIno's acting truthfully XDD

Isn't it the worst? Ugh. I haven't seen any sign of him since then so hopefully he won't be around a third time.

I think the name comes from the really popular Sherlock Holmes line of "Elementary, my dear Watson." It isn't actually a real phrase ever said by Sherlock in the books, he just says "Elementary" to Watson. So the title is more correct than the popular phrase! :D

Cooking shows! I do love a good reality show. Yesterday I watched Tattoo Nightmares and Cupcake Wars for a bit. LOL. But I agree that in America there's added drama and ridiculousness.

You know what show I liked? The Renovators. I was said Australia cancelled it, even though I get why. I wish they'd just fixed the set-up a little and tried again. :D But my favorite cooking show so far was definitely Around the World in 80 Plates!

NINOOOOO. I would like to see his movie finally! it's been a long time coming. And I hope he gets a drama soon also. :)

I think that's precisely what the appeal of tumblr is to a lot of people--it's, for the most part, a solitary experience, but at the same time you get to be surrounded by the material that pulled you into a fandom in the first place. ...if that makes any sense? I think it's safe to say that a lot of the people that spend time on the internet in general tend to be introverts, so perhaps taking away that social aspect appeals to them. You get to enjoy your fandom and you don't have to be an active participant if you choose not to; it's pretty much like taking the best out of both worlds, right ( ... )

I think I am an introvert by circumstance and not by choice. I always got a lot of my social interaction through this place, and messengers and so forth. So for me it's not the best of both worlds. I think what I said to someone else is that for me it feels like watching a party through a window ( ... )

Eww, no, creepy guy lurking, never a good thing.

Elementary! I don't watch it, but I think I will as soon as the first season is over. I never understood the problem the Sherlock fandom very obviously has with it. Sherlock is brilliant, but the fandom is awful. If they like Sherlock Holmes so much, they should be delighted to have another adaptation. Oh well.

Travelling and taking pictures! Adventures! Yes, a million times yes! I wish I could come with you. I wanted to go road tripping through the Highlands in Scotland later this year, but my friend will only be available from October onwards, which I fear will be too late for an adventure so far North. I definitely plan on spending a week or so in Edinburgh though, instead (and maybe go back in May for that roadtrip. I will not be denied. ROADTRIP.)

Shows and movies, oh dear. I saw someone mentioned Suits. YES. SUITS: GOOD. And they showed you Donna. Donna is the best. Also, she's a redhead ( ... )

Yeah I'm not understanding why there is a battle going on between these two shows. They are so vastly different! Which means... you know, I can understand liking one over another, but not why there'd have to be a bunch of crazy hate about it. D: The genius of Elementary is that it has all the delicious parts of an American Crime Drama with a heaping of classic Sherlock Holmes and AWESOMESAUCE cast on top of it ( ... )
