Kicking ass at work is always a great feeling. It's really stupid, but I think in any job, as long as you give it a good shot and throw yourself into it, you won't hate it nearly as much as if you're sitting around doing nothing with it.

The creepy other office sounds hilarious. There was one on our floor that opened just after we moved into the building. They fit it out, staffed it, and looked to be running for a little while. They sold maotai or some other sort of expensive Chinese alcohol, I think. They did a few deals, had a few large sums of money come in, and then shut down just recently. I think this happens a lot. The weirder ones stick around, not seeming to sell anything or do anything, just having receptionists sleeping at their desks all day...

Absolutely! Of course there are always exceptions and unfortunate environments, but for the most part - work is work, and if you put effort in, you get something back. :)

LOL. Yes! And I did actually see someone go into the office on Friday, but from a side door with a normal key. WHAT THE. Shady business!
