I've had a cold for ten days and counting. It's not as bad now as it was a week ago (I can move, think, and go to work), but I'm still achy and tired and drippy. None of my standard home remedies seem to work -- juice, soup, garlic, ginger, multivitamins, even the usually sure-fire Cold Season tea. Any suggestions for what to try next? Anecdotal

In the meantime, I'm partial to a hot toddy when I'm sick. It's not good for working time, but at home, it's just the thing.
In a standard mug, mix 1/2 shot of booze (I usually use bourbon, but rum or whiskey or vodka would also work) with an equal amount of honey, a dash of honey, and a bit of lemon juice. Fill rest of mug with boiling water and stir. Be sure to breathe in the vapor when you aren't drinking. Good for what ails ya.
