I saw a live cat being thrown today. The thing that surprised me was that it happened in a play. I highly doubt this cat was properly trained to be thrown. I e-mailed PETA for their help on this one. I asked them to send me the laws regarding animal treatment in theatre. I will then pass this information on to the most inhumane director in the ( Read more... )

Forgive me, but I'd rather get STA "in trouble" than see an animal abused/neglected/mistreated. I'm sorry that I stand up for those who can't speak out for themselves.
And I'm not reporting you to anybody, I'm just going to make it a point not to let animal mistreatment happen in theatre. It's our duty as theatre artists and as human beings to see to the humane treatment of all creatures in this world - especially those that appear with us on stage.

I'm uber glad that I didn't go. You should have animal cops bust their asses...on tv. That'll be fun to watch.
