As Steve and I get more and more in to enjoying firearms, it's kinda become apparent that we need to learn how to load or reload our own ammo, especially with the swiftly soaring ammo prices. .22 is about the only thing that's staying affordable in any quantity ( Read more... )

Very cool! As soon as I've got an income I'm ordering the dies I need and doing the same, buddy had a few presses laying around so one of those is heading my way. :) Also, your Mosin looks like it's great shape!

It's in pretty good shape and shoots like a Russian dream. ie: kicks you in the shoulder and makes you keep asking "Thank you, sir. May I have another?" ;D

Pretty darned accurate, too, even out at 200 yards.

If I may suggest. You may want to use a melamine or other surface that has no cracks for powder to get accidently spilled into. Accidents happen and the powder (more lke fine crystals) can be annoying.

Good call! My stations have a glass top and a lacquered top. Didn't even think about that!

Thinking about that, I had actually thought about taking it out back and giving the top a good thick layer of shellac or something similar.

No. My neighbor when I lived in Ohio did. He had a sweet setup and became an ammo supplier for law enforcement and enthusiasts. It was cool how a hobby became a trade. Me, I just ask a lot of questions.
