a fellow student tried to convince me that the best game for the wii was something called "mama'cookin'"
when asked to describe why this game was so awesome, she explained that you use the control to chop and dice and to flip things in a saute pan and you have to follow a recipe and..."couldn't you do the same thing, uh, cooking?"
"you do the different things with the control and it's fun!"
i don't think i managed to even look halfway convinced.

I don't think I could play Guitar Hero without breaking the controller...I'd be trying to bend strings that weren't actually there...

Ditto! I tried it for the first time at Omegacon, and it was wery vierd. Tough to un-learn the act of playing actual guitar chords and just pressing buttons that are way too big for the fretboard on that controller.

I have Cooking Mama for, uh, my little handheld game system. (I totally don't ecen know what I've got.) It is sort of mindless fun.
