There are spaghetti sauce in jars dated back to year 2008. There are pasta for the sauce in boxes dated back to 2010. Are they safe for consumption?

Dry pasta should be safe for many years, just may taste stale. The sauce I'm not sure about.

ETA: Best guess, pasta would be safe for at least 5 years after it expires, sauce I would trust as safe for about 1 year after it expires. As for flavor, who knows.

If the pasta has always been kept dry, it should still be safe. The sauce? No way, and I wouldn't even try.
