Eight years of fandom come down to this

I've been a New York islander fan for eight years. I've never seen my team advance out of the first round of the playoffs. Not once. This year, I was a fan of the worst team in the NHL...but being that gives the greatest chance to win the draft lottery, which in this case, means the abbility to have a choice between the best young forward or best young defenceman. The Islanders did, indeed, win the draft lottery, which makes me happy. The pain actually is worth something. Next Hurtle? The Draft. now Garth, don't trade this pick down! Oh, and take Tavares while you're at it!
Now, the great eight. BTW, eight is the number Alexander Ovechkin, a former first overall NHL draft pick and the current best player in the world, sports on his back. Do this, guys! In no particular order...
