Hello my lovelies! I got a personal virus for Pearl approved a couple of days ago which I'll be affecting her by in the next few days or so, but before that happens I wanted to get your input on it. Because basically, I'm flash-forwarding Pearl to her early 20s for a few days - so for as long as she's affected, she'll be roughly 12 years ahead of

Gotta keep this quick cause lol working, but everything Idgie said sounds right! They'd definitely have gotten together by then. Neither is the type to really flaunt it, but we decided after Phoenix was disbarred and it couldn't be considered a conflict of interests, they would have eventually become open about it. Kind of an "everyone assumes it even though not everyone know it" sort of thing, but Pearl should have known about it for a long while.

Edgeworth will have mellowed a lot, too. He may not ever be completely comfortable with open displays of affection and he'd be a bit of an idiot about social interactions, but he won't try to pretend anymore that he doesn't love some people more than his own life. XD He'd still be a lawyer and probably a lecturer on law on the side, or something, idk. He'll have spent more time in Europe on and off, but he'd be reachable by world-hop so I'm sure people wouldn't let him completely isolate himself while working. He and Phoenix are probably also working on reforming the justice system still

AHEM, ANYWAY, I LOVE THIS TL;DR 8D This is awesome, thank you! Just. D'aaaaw, Edgeworth, in so many ways. |D Ahahaha once future!Pearl figures out she's talking to the past she's just going to be so ":3" about most of the things. Most the fact that he and Phoenix get together, really, ahahaha, except I imagine that she'll just clam up about that completely and just be ":3" generally. Expect her to kind of gently tease present!Edgey about his future overprotective streak though, heee.

YES PLEASE. I would be disappointed if she didn't! X3 The difference probably wouldn't be as substantial as it would be with most people (because Edgeworth's emotionally stunted rofl). Growing up with it and having watched him change gradually, it may not even be something she'd notice too much until she was able to compare the old with the new, but the thought of her teasing him over things like that is just too adorable for words. ;3;

You know that :3 attitude is going to drive him batty, right?

Lets see...In four years time, Kinnikuman will become the King of Kinniku Planet, and the be most powerful man in his universe. By that time, he'll have gained the ability to basically shoot miracles out of his face at will and is canonically more powerful than seven gods put together. He's married to a woman named Bibinba (who he has yet to meet, I think she'd get along well with Pearl; she's very energetic and sweet, even if she is very scary when you get her mad. Also, she's a tomboy who loves girly girls like Pearly), but has no children even at the age of 32. He still has more or less the same personality, but he's calmed down quite a bit due to having way too many responsibilities to just randomly go off and have fun any more. I figure that once or twice he's actually gotten pretty depressed having to deal with all this big important stuff

Heee, everyone's giving me such a lot for this, this is awesome! I totally endorse the idea of Pearl being the official Royal Spirit Medium and popping round to cheer him up sometimes when she can. She probably only took it on in her view as an "unofficial" position, at first because she hadn't finished her training and then afterwards because she was pursuing her career as a detective, but she totally wouldn't have turned him down on channelling people if he needed it.

JSYK the job is basically an excuse to give his friends big expensive gifts in exchange for doing practically nothing. 'Pearls, I need you to channel the spirit of Old Man McGee, because no one else knows the trick to stop the garden tap from leaking.' Rarely would he ask for something serious-like when he was in the most desperate trouble, he'd ask for Kamehame. even though canonically the ghosts of dead friends just turn up to talk with him anyway

OH YEAH, and it might not come up, but in 12 years time, Kuroro would have been outed as a horrible monster responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, and would probably have murdered or tortured quite a few of the DDD members themselves by that time...But, uh, we can't have that coming up because it ruins the surprise when I do it properly.
