The downfalls of my profession

So what's new? My friends are out and I'm here at the apartment working on a boss model for our game, The Governing. Such is the life of someone that does what I do. Most people get to work the noraml 8-5's, or just have to worry about the exam the next morning, but my profession tends to put me in a awkward place. You just gotta remember that you're doing all this to prepare yourself for the future. You'll have more time to do the things you wanna do once you get everything on track. As far as being out of the loop... you gotta make the effort to be apart of it. I'm not trying to be mean, but like when we're smokin' hookah outside, come out and join. I know you're busy, but 10-20 min. away from work won't kill you. I understand you gotta get stuff done, but you also have to give yourself time too.

Yeah, I know I probably could have come out for a few mins to chat with you guys, but last night was pretty rough. You know how writers tend to run into writers block every now and then, well I guess you could say I was running into artist block(or whatever you'd call it). I just couldn't figure out what direction I wanted to go with the model I was working on, so at some points during the night I just had to stare at the model and work in my head what would look best. It was so frustrating because I'd detailing a certain part of the model like the arms, only to find out an hour later it's not going to work. So then I'd have to back up, and redo it. I can usually just sit down and automatically start modeling, like it's second nature to me. But for reason, I was just off key last night. The good thing is I worked through it and actually made some progress which opens my night up tonight. So hopefully we'll do something. By the way, how was the party last night?
