Goings on

First off, I'm super stoked to hear that Obama's admin is going forward with investigating monopolies in the agriculture industry. It seems their aim is to help the struggling independent farmer against Big Ag players in the Seed, Meat, and Dairy industries. Sweet! Take that Monsanto megacorp down a notch. Oh was it Monsanto that decided to sue the farmer where their corn blew out of their (the Monsanto) field/truck and into the small farmer's land and so he was incidentally growning their seed? I saw it in that food movie. Um, I don't remember which one but I'm fairly certain it was Monsanto. I'm pretty sure whatever that movie was made me cry like a little girl too...

I'm glad your Anime goings on have been good to you. (:

:) thanks :) And I think you might be talking about Food INC. ( I hadn't seen that one yet) It's practically the movie version of the book The Omnivore's Dilemma by Micheal Pollan- it was veeeery eye opening *_*

I'm glad you posted about the Ag monopolies b/c I hadn't heard about it until now! Wow, that makes me excited too. The cynical side of me still says the Ag states will roll that commission flat, but we can dream!

Well, my reaction to the PS3 wasn't that dramatic, but I did see it as a blow to Sony. I mean, when your product is solid on its own it doesn't need a ridiculously good price + upgrade... but I still don't think it'll make me buy a ps3 (or Loren buys it so she can play MSG4)

I'm glad to hear Anime Iowa went so well! At least "con work" improves your skills, you get paid, and your interested in it! You should post some of your pics too.

yeah, the attention on Ag is great but who knows how compassionate or politics-free the decision makers can/will be. Oh, and I heard it on NPR of course ;)

it's not possible to post pics in LJ without an account? Or I suppose I could lower myself to dubious Image Shackery...I think I'll post them up on my DA page and just link 'em.
