Excellent under the constraints. Did you ever see Araucaria’s Valentine’s day puzzle with all the clues in the form of small ads?

Begin, believe me, take this tangled ten, vainly.

BE(lieve) + ME around anagram of TEN VAINLY

A busy worker grabs a broken vent, mainly.

BEE around anagram of VENT MAINLY

Twisted in a way, with my first, your first, dip.

(BENT IN E) around M(y) Y(our) VALE

Near - takes me back - a climber holds a fast in its grip.

BY around ME reversed; VINE around A LENT

Is digging with yaks begun? Farewell the second part.

BE MINE around (Y(aks) VALE NT)

Bug-eyed monsters shorten young Shirley's saintly heart.

B.E.M. Y(oung) VALENTINE (ref. play ‘Shirley Valentine’)

Excellent under the constraints.

You are too kind. I thought they were terrible. I set out trying to make sense as well as rhyming. That destroyed the scansion, and then I couldn't make the "churchless charge" clue fit, so I abandoned the attempt at sense too. Um, it's the thought that counts?
