Yeah, evolution is interesting. My imagination has changed a lot and aside from that fact that I understand people a lot better than I did then (how could I not? I was like 16 when I wrote that), the biggest change is how... uninhibited I was back then. The imagery had tinges of stream-of-consciousness but not in that pretentious on-purpose way.. it was just that I let myself write whatever crazy thing came into my head

maybe you need to do that 20minute free flow writing excersize. That way you can practice letting whatever wants to come out do so without judgement.
