Have you used an editing trick to get the sky pitch black? Looks wonderful whatever.

Thanks. There were no tricks with the pictures though!

London sky tends to be red, but this doesn't normally show up too much on photos, as while the exposure needed for fireworks is quite long (so as to get the trace effect), it isn't long enough to capture atmospheric light. I did need a tripod though!
