I did. LJ is putting backdated entries on the friends page now. And clicking 'previous' can show you more than 100 entries, too. It's nice to see some of the weirder policies being undone.

What is fictionslamming?

fictionslamming is probably the most pretentious and exclusive writing community on LiveJournal. I'm one of the maintainers of that community, part of a small panel that was set up after moonpies42 decided to be less active in the administration of the community.

It's easier to join fictionslamming than to get published, but it's definitely not easy.

I just wanted to tell you that I loved your book recommendation, and didn't know if you'd get it if I left it over at moonpies42's journal. See, I've been having these problems with my notification e-mails... just kidding, just kidding! :)

I just figured since I'd threatened to... what was it, ah, yes - "bludgeon you with dull words" if I hated it I should be at least kind enough to... um... "pat you on the head with pretty ones" because it was very good.

Glad I found you (posting helpfully again on someone's Little Details post :>) -- I've added your blog as it seems interesting at the moment. Thanks for the hints and ideas on Arabic things -- I've finished the first rough of the book and it's in the hands of several First Readers now -- Just starting on Book 2 and thinking of ideas for follow ons. Next up is the Big Edit -- then finding a publisher/agent (in whatever order that happens :>).

It won't be visible to the internet at large - like the comment you just posted, only I will be able to see it, unless I choose to make it visible. Which I promise not to do. What I'd do is repost it to fictionslamming as a friends-only post so it can be voted on.
