Presentation of the Lord

today is the celebration of the Presentation of the Lord in the Catholic Church. last night at mass, father tom went ahead and celebrated it. its a holy day of obligation in some countries but not the US. the second reading was from the second chapter of Hebrews and it really spoke to me, so i would like to share a piece of it with you...

:-D that's a very awesome and great post you have there. i too find it amazing that he actually humbled himself to us, and that he knows what it's like when we hurt because he experienced it. it's like the huge difference between sympathy and empathy. those who are sorry for you and they care for you have sympathy for you, but it's those who have been where you are and felt what you've felt who can have true empathy for you because they've been there too :) god could've chosen not to feel all of our pains and deal with all of our struggles, but he DID, KNOWING how much it would hurt and knowing how hard it would be...and that is just awesome :)
