yeah, i'd have to ignore the uninformed leader too, if were attending the meetings. (i'm a lifetimer, as you may know, with a complicated WW history.) if i were doing it now, i'd just use the e-tools and forget about the meetings.
whatever you decide, good for you for doing this! here's a gold star for you. :)
Well, I definitely wouldn't go to that meeting. Sheesh. Also, if I were you, I'd write a letter to corporate and detail all of this. If she's misinforming people it's bad for business but it's also bad for customers.
Is there another meeting you can go to on another day? Most places have different leaders depending on the day. I've seen good and bad meeting leaders - the best ones speak to people on every level, the worst are just as you describe, and use a lot of guilt on top of it. I once asked a leader a simple question and she was so misinformed and mangled the answer so badly that I had to basically answer the question myself.
When you find a leader that is good, you won't be feeling like you are now. They motivate with lots of new information and strategies, and don't just recycle what you've heard over and over again.
I got a lot of good out of weight watchers, and lost a lot of weight, most of which I've kept off, and some of which I feel I would take off again if I went back.
That said, my brother merely bought the points book, set up a spread-sheet, tracked what he ate, and lost weight without the hassle of weekly meetings, but using the same tracking/points device.
