For me up here in Northfield, Mass., a really quiet, really grey, really dull day. I couldn’t get warm, even though I microwaved a can of soup and ate it, throwing in a few Ritz crackers even. For fun! The Ritz is fun

Ha! Yeah, the bloated, portentous misery of the post needed to be poked with a sharp object, so I figured I should be the first to do it.

Why did you do this? This seems like a pretty mean thing to say about your own writing. Why would you write something so beautiful and then poke a hole in it?

I ask in the spirit of a recent question I was asked, along similar lines. (I made a fantastic slightly mean joke on FB and then explained it away. My old friend graciously told me to cut that shit out.) If you nail that landing, then stick it for real. No apologies necessary.
