It's good to hear things are well in You-Land. I am sympathetic to your SSRI plight, but it sounds like you've got yourself a good health plan. Yay for you. :) Take care of yourself and be well.
i went off zoloft cold turkey from 300mg/day and didn't die either. funny that. i'm glad it worked out ok! i understand about the wanting off NOW thing. i'm still glad i didn't do that with paxil tho.
the migraines should abate. i had that issue with luvox and though they haven't gone away (i blame prozac for giving them to me in general), they're way better than they were.
I'll be in the pediatric acute care clinic. I'm super hyped about it. It's basically all inpatient care that isn't blood diseases or cancer.
I can't -believe- you quit 300mg/day cold turkey. You're crazy. I was only at 100mg/day.
Thanks for the input on the headaches....although what you had to say wasn't encouraging. :( How often do you get yours? Do you take anything for them?
well, i was missing pills all the time so there probably wasn't as much in my system as someone that took it consistently, but i'm still shocked that i had no withdrawal issues, especially with the ones i have now.
i don't get them often at all. i probably get them as often as i do because of where i live (i think calgary is the migraine capital of the universe because of the screwed up weather). i can't take regular migraine meds because i'm allergic to an ingredient in them, but i don't get them as severely as i used to so i can usually manage to kill it early with an ibuprofen/acetominophen combo mixed with peppermint oil rubbed on my temples and neck. if i don't get it early though, i do that combo and then just go to bed. sleeping it off is the key for me.
I've been so busy, I can't believe I actually forgot your B-day. Especially since I see those numbers 0912 everyday. I'm glad all is well with you. Send me an email next time you get down to see your Parents, I would like to come and say hi.
