Hey nice review on Derailed! I read it :) Oh, also I just tried to watch Life Aquatic yesterday, and I couldn't even handle it. It was so stupid in my opinion. Am I weird b/c I don't like it? I feel like everyone is obsessed w/ this movie. I feel like an outcast. How did you like Capote? I saw that a few weeks ago!
I would be very curious to hear your thoughts on the new Pride & Prejudice, although I don't know whether or not you've seen it yet. I enjoyed your review in the Beacon.
I considered seeing the new update of Austen's Pride and Prejudice, but was discouraged by some pessimistic friends. I usually enjoy literate, british films, though (Sense and Sensibility and A Room With a View are lovely, lovely films), so I have decided to ignore their quips. I just hope that the filmmakers did not pander in order to cater to a teenage audience; luckily, from what I've heard, they have not. If I had the time, I would go alone -- it has recieved some glowing reviews and I believe that Ms. Knightley would make a perfect Elizabeth Bennet. I have my doubts, however, about the absense of Colin Firth. Can there be another Mark Darcy? Firth has played him enough, and mastered the role in the process. Regardless, I have not seen it -- but I most likely will catch it on DVD at some point.
