bah. i know what you mean about the personal statement. i'm going through the same thing. and actually i'm a little sad because i had a great personal statement for undergrad but i have no idea what i did with it or if i even kept it.

My personal statement took weeks of thinking. The bitch about it is, you have to know what you *want* before you can tell other people what that is. Harder than the short prompt makes it seem, as you well know.
