I joined CafeMom last week, and I belong to a breastfeeding group. Another member found a thread posted in a "young moms" group, and this is how it went:

"So this post was about breastmilk vs. formula

Some of the responses really bothered me. Some of these mothers really disapoint me..

Personally; I wouldn't want 34Ds anyway. I'm wondering how breastfeeding will effect my A cups; but I'm not worried about being flat chested. If I lose the weight off in a timely manner; I'm sure my boobs would go too anyway.

My friend is formula feeding her 7 month old after a long struggle with breastfeeding. She said its one of her biggest regrets; that she didn't try harder.

My husband and I feel that breast milk is to organic veggies and fruit as formula is to processed cheese.

Can I put you on my friend's list?

Poor kids... "Mommy didn't want to ruin her boobs so you ate shit when you were a baby".
I had my first at 18 (and still breastfeed her occasionally). I'd gladly give up my looks for my kids. Well, maybe not GlADLY, but I definitely wouldn't mind doing it for my kids health...

It sure does. Im proud of you, Brandon. Guys dont usually know this kind of stuff. Breastfeeding also:

Strengthens their immune system (they dont get sick nearly as often as formula fed babies)

Makes their diapers and spit up not smell bad

Has healing powers (Olive had a clogged tear duct which was making her eye goop up and seal shut when she slept, and I put a few drops of breastmilk in it and by the next morning it was cleared up)

As well as a million more things.

that is so sad. what is the matter with people. i mean don't get me wrong, if someone chooses to formula feed by all means, to each their own.

but to not even ATTEMPT to breastfeed because you don't want to hurt your "perfect" breasts. screw you. how selfish.

(sorry i saw you in breastfeeding and remembered you and Olive from pregnant. glad to see you are doing well and she is just BEAUTIFUL!)
