I joined CafeMom last week, and I belong to a breastfeeding group. Another member found a thread posted in a "young moms" group, and this is how it went:

My friend is formula feeding her 7 month old after a long struggle with breastfeeding. She said its one of her biggest regrets; that she didn't try harder.

I had my first at 18 (and still breastfeed her occasionally). I'd gladly give up my looks for my kids. Well, maybe not GlADLY, but I definitely wouldn't mind doing it for my kids health...

Strengthens their immune system (they dont get sick nearly as often as formula fed babies)
Makes their diapers and spit up not smell bad
Has healing powers (Olive had a clogged tear duct which was making her eye goop up and seal shut when she slept, and I put a few drops of breastmilk in it and by the next morning it was cleared up)
As well as a million more things.

but to not even ATTEMPT to breastfeed because you don't want to hurt your "perfect" breasts. screw you. how selfish.
(sorry i saw you in breastfeeding and remembered you and Olive from pregnant. glad to see you are doing well and she is just BEAUTIFUL!)
