Emily entered into service with the Jong family in 2000, but she did not become the first car I owned until spring break, 2002. You'll never forget your first.

Mine was a 1987 Chevy Nova (a Toyota Corolla with a different tag). I owned it for a year as an undergrad. No A/C, no power steering, manual windows and locks, and the hydraulic brake assist was sketchy too. That was an awesome car.

That's amazing that the receipt from that was still in the car. Wow. I actually still have the overpriced when-you-enter-the-park-we-con-you-into-buying-a-photo photo of the four of us. It's here with me in Japan. Was that 7 years ago now? Yikes.
