Today, I finally decided I should go see The Passion of Christ. About two weeks ago my devoutly southern baptist father decided that it was the most accurate portrayal of the event he had ever seen and that he must share such a moving work with his baby boy. No it doesn't happen exactly the way the bible says it does. It's easy for someone who doesn't study the bible(myself included) to say that it does, but in fact, it does not. I've done the research...for starters there are loads of little things like everyone would've been speaking greek, jesus would never have had long hair, etc. More important are the big things like Pontious Pilate for instance. He was a facist ruler who crucified around 250,000 jews while he was in charge of the area. In the movie he's fucking hesitant about one more? My ass. So the movie does a good job of making Jewish holy men look blood thirsty, and Pontious Pilate look loving and compassionate. Slightly distorted.

You always like to go off on how the movie shouldn't be halted. No one around here ever said that it should, but argue for it to your last breath. Secondly I could give a shit what some French Muslim's opinion on the movie was. I never said that quote was added, I said people were trying to get it to be taken out because that single line has caused much violence and been a major point against Jews. And nick, are we really going to argue over the level to which Pontious Pilate had power over the people? Give me a fucking break. He was the "ruler" in that area. Yes what i listed were MINOR details. no shit. That's what i said they were. I know you like calling arguments you're going against ignorant, even though pretty much everything I said was on the dot. I never said it said all the stuff you just said it did in the bible. I was pointing out the shit about Pontius Pilate... never said that shit with his wife was in it either... I was telling you that he was hesitant to have jesus killed in the Bible as well... that's all
