I really liked both the movie and the book a lot. It sort of helped me understand the whole thing more having seen and read both of them. Oh man, I love Over the Hedge so fucking much. Hammy is my favorite.

I have writeletters tagged so when they update it sends me a notice, but that still doesn't work, because they've been updating and I get nothing. Then poof, there's a post somewhere the past day or two or five on my flist.
