the new sufjan stevens album is wonderful! and though you shouldn't have written all this, I am glad you did. amazing that Bjork went to your exhibition.

I went to the tea gardens last night and it was magic as usual.

so I'm not sure if I told you... but since this is the best way to tell you anything.. I am going to Vietnam!! As my first trip not only to Asia but to my family's home country, I am absolutely thrilled.. a little embarrassed and nervous that I don't speak Vietnamese.. but they probably won't think I'm Vietnamese anyways since most people don't.. but I'm deliriously excited.. it's certain to be a life-changing experience for me.. and for my 21st birthday.. very appropriate I think at this juncture in my life. So this all means I'm leaving LA on August 14. BUT I will be here around the time you'll be getting home.. and I know you told me you would be very busy.. but how would you feel about my sister and I driving up some weekend when you're back in her new convertible benz and doing some wine-tasting in SB?
