I can't help but feel members-lock on a community like this should apply to anything that is rated M/NC17 (what is the policy about pieces like that? are they allowed?). Anything else should be up to the poster's discretion. But IDK, that's just my take on it all.

M fics are absolutely allowed; who am I to tell you not to write shameless pwp? And members can still definitely lock their posts individually, if they so desire, because, again, sensitive material, etc. I just thought I'd see if there was any overarching opinion on entries in the comm as a whole.

I would think it should mainly be up to the poster's discresion on whether they want others to be able to see it.... but I think all explicit stuff should be locked.

The thing about making it mandatory locked is that people who like to read this type of fiction, but don't have livejournals wouldn't be able to read it.
