About 4 or 5 years ago, when I was a l'il undergrad, I was awarded a Sun Angel research award at ASU to do a paper on the Waldensians. This morning I received an email from the head of the Religious Studies dept at ASU that had been forwarded back and forth between about a dozen people. No, it's a collection of English laws - Magna Carta, Carta de foresta and about 40 others. When Townsend gave it to us he said "and good luck with that one. You'll need it."

I'd gotten most of that info myself (though I'll look up Faye and Bond too). There's also "occasio" on one of the framed windows by the look of it. I googled the prvde, Lucrecia etc stuff, and got a reference to an article in The Library journal, entitled something like "German Bindings in the Aberdeen University MSS collection" which is why I thought it might be German, but I can't get hold of the article. Curses!
