Now in Pula, struggling a bit as I had a 7 hour bus ride to get here this morning and I still have a cold. I met a sweet Finnish girl last night and we may meet up again on Hvar, hopefully she will get there fist and do all the legwork arranging accommodation. There are no hostels on the island so it is all about private arrangements. There are

Sounds like the free-wheeling thing is really working for you. I hope Pula is as awesome as it sounds. I'll send you an email tonight with updates about Eli.

Thank you for your kind wishes, and keep the updates flowing! Pula is awesome, actually, I'm glad I came. And I think I have a lot to look forward to, everyone raves about the islands down south, where I am heading next.

Tomorrow I catch a 2.5 hour bus to Rijeka (ree-ekka to pronounce, I learnt), then catch a ferry at 8pm, arriving at the island of Hvar (the 3rd most beautiful in the world, apparently) at 8am. I tried to book a little shared cabin to give me a good nights rest, so maybe I can get over this cold, but they were all full. So I'll be sleeping on the deck or in a corridor. Still, a ferry is something different, and maybe there will be an excellent sunrise. Plus I avoid the cost of one night's accommodation.
