Nicole, You're right, this is ridiculous. I have actually read that book... it is quite tasteful. There are others like "Heather has two mommies" and some other one about two dads. I visited the G.R. public library once and the person in the children's section was telling us about stupid people like that one that come in or e-mail them all the time. AAAGGGHHHHHH!
It is funny you posted this today because we had a guest speaker in my Educational Psych class who interviewed children who had gay or lesbian parents and compiled a book titled "How it feels to have a Gay or Lesbian Parent" by Judith E. Snow. You can read about it at www.judithesnow.com. It was pretty intriguing to hear how these children feel and what they have experienced.

Anyways, I totally agree that ignorant people piss me off too!!!!!

I read "Heather Has Two Mommies" and "Daddy's Roommate" for my censorship/book banning paper. Both books were great about explaining things but didn't go into explicit detail.

Some people just frustrate me.
