Sadly, I found out a week or two ago that the Taurus Steak House is no more :o( According to their website, the staff and owner of this Welsh bastion of after hours munching just couldn't take anymore of the grim behaviour exhibited there every weekend. I fully concur with their thoughts behind why St Mary's Street has ended up like a scene from

I remember staying in Cardiff on a Thursday night, for Jamie's 40th I think, and wandering back at 1am to the hotel with Pogona, whereupon he remarked that Cardiff was showing its face. To which I retorted, as we meandered past a particularly drunk set of girlies outside the Philharmonic - one on the floor rolling about - that not only was it showing its face, but its arse and apparently its snatch too.

I hate what it's become.

Yeah. we've been to Cardiff twice and the state of the people in the main street when we left the restaurant scared the bejeezuz out of us. And we see some sights in Glasgow city centre of a Saturday night.

Holy crap: I thought I was quite resistant to that sort of thing, but what that photo-site shows is just gross.

To be honest I'd not want to visit given sights like that. Yeah, I know it's a minority, but a late night in that kind of place just doesn't appeal...

Do visit because it's a wonderful city, just avoid St Mary's Street and the surrounding environs at the weekend. It's only two roads and there are many other nicer areas to be.
