This was meant to be a comment on Kyle's post here about the passing of Momma cat, but it raged out of control and grew too long, so I'm linking to it on my own journal.

And brilliant vets - they put such a lot of effort into her care and Andre also spent hours on the net and on forums trying to find the correct drugs for her. They do work miracles.

This made me cry!
I'm so scared of losing one of my little monsters once they encounter the road. But I'm so glad Gomez pulled through. You're a wonderful mummy :)

I guess the answer is to try to scare them away from it - not sure how you'd go about it, though. Gomez is now understandably wary, but Tish still wanders across it, despite having survived a bump in Cardiff. My heart is in my mouth whenever she goes out there.

Thanks for such kind words. TBH it makes me a bit squirmy to be praised for looking after her, I don't understand how it could be otherwise :o)
