Sick and tired

Of pretending.  Of having no support.  Of coping alone.  No, nothing dramatic has happened, i've just reached the end of my tether.  Connor's behaviour and sleeping have become utterly appalling again.  I feel like a really shit mum (i know i'm not, but equally i don't like the mum i am just now, shouting, ranting, not knowing what to do.)

I don't ( Read more... )

Oh Nic, you poor love *hugs*

If you can find a way to get here, you are more than welcome to leave Connor with me for a few hours/a night so that the two of you can go out for a bit/have some sleep/veg in front of the telly/whatever.

let me know if I can do anything to help!! xx

Many thanks - just being there is enough, and i have been *seriously* tempted to ask a couple of times if i could bail out to yours for a day or two to clear my head and think a bit. (And, being a bit cryptic - knowing you've "done it" is giving me a bit of confidence that i might be able to too IYSWIM).

Aaw, poor you. Would it help if we took Connor for an afternoon or something, give you a break? I appreciate if you are not comfortable with that, after all we only know each other online, but the offer is there if you think it could help.

Many thanks for the offer - just knowing i have options now is helping a lot - i'm sure you know how stressful it can be when you feel you don't have any, and people offering to help has been great.

I know we're far away, but if you want to come down for holiday you'd be very welcome (all of you!). We could watch Connor for a while if you wanted to get out & about.

I noticed that Assa has also commented - I'm sure he wouldn't mind coming over for a few hours as well!

want me to come through for a few days this week and help deal with Connor? I can take him out for walks to give you some peace in the house and stay in with him so you can go out for a break. I know he doesn't cope too well with huge changes or I'd suggest Douglas and I coming through and grabbing him and whatever he needs for a few days and keeping him here, although it's an option if you think he'd cope. Another alternative is if you've got somewhere you can go for a couple of days I can stay at yours with him. I'm not doing fabulously myself but I always do better when I'm helping someone else out and I can cope with other peoples kids even if I can't cope with Brandon, it's the extra guilt of your own child crying that breaks you compared to someone elses.

Its amazing how much easier other kids are than your own, eh? Ta for the offer hon. I think i'm a smidging better today, so we'll see how we go. Would be lovely to catch up soon though, hopefully in better circumstances - maybe a day out somewhere over the summer?
