I am re-reading Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonriders of Pern" series for the first time in many years, and I am finding things in the books I've never noticed before.

For example, there is this scene in which a dragonrider named F'nor makes (very inexplicit) love to dragon queen rider Brekke for the first time, which is described as, "he was not gentle,

"Well-fucked" is the appropriate term, I believe.

This is a problem with early McCaffrey; her female characters tend to be... not wilting flowers, but definitely sort-of submissive. If you think that's bad, you should read her novel, Restoree.

"hundreds" is a nominal value. You need to divide it with his ego to get the real head count.

I'd have to go with the checklist idea. Made sure he rounded covered all bases and did what was necessary to give Brekke a satisfying orgasm. I always found that scene a bit uncomfortable, personally. IIRC, Brekke's scared about losing her virginity and F'nor pretty much decides that he'll help her get over her hangup - kindly and lovingly, of course, but rather soulessly. And rather patronizingly. And then he feels like an idiot (as he should!) when she confesses that now it'll be even harder for her to sleep with someone else, because she actually has very deep feelings for him.

I don't know about her other writings (having never read them), but McCaffrey definitely has a thing for dub-con/non-con in this series!
