Unfortunately, my back is out yet again, because of that stupid spina bifida on that last vertebrae, and it slipping forward and down and cracking along the side. Degenerative disc disease really, really hurts

I have alot of lower back problems too Nico. For that, I use an excersize ball and my physiotherapist showed me some excersizes to strengthen my lower core muscles.

Never thought of using that exercise ball I have. Thanks! :3
I admit I haven't been doing my physical therapy, I've gotten out of habit. >_> It's just hard to keep up when when all the things they want me to do take almost 2 hours. x_x
Well - try doing one stretch a day for your core muscles, do it for less than five minutes (or when you're not even thinking about it) and just proceed with the stretching.
Seriously - phyisotherapists are doing their job to keep us all in shape, but I've been doing worse since my accident since I haven't been doing the excersizes. But I am returning to the gym so at least that helps.
In any event. I try to never think about when I'm going to stretch. Sounds weird but I just let my body do the thinking on that part. XP
In any event, I hope that helps. I think my physiotherapist had shown me one excersize where it helps with your core muscle when do this excersize called 'the plank' but on your e-ball. I think it's also called 'the bridge'.
I popped over here to comment because I didn't want the Snopes feed knowing my business, but I noticed in your profile you said you're involved in the local BDSM scene? Being in a D/s relationship is something I've always been interested in, but I really have no knowledge about it or where I can find like-minded people in BR. If it's not too much trouble, I was wondering if maybe you could point me to some resources or such? ^^;
And I'm sorry to read about your back! although, this post is a few days old, so I hope you're feeling better now. :3

I'll see how things go with that.

This is the Baton Rouge group. Nice bunch of people. :3 E-mail aurora@rsvpla.org and she can put you on the main RSVP mailing list, and the TNG list if you want (The Next Generation), that's 18-35 -- though the space is open to only 21 and older, you can still come out and meet people. (Here's the LJ community: ) In addition to being 21, to be able to go to the playspace you need to go to an orientation meeting and 2 munches (meet-ups usually in a restaurant, hence the food name). It's mostly so you can get to know us, we can know you, aurora can meet you (she's nice, she just likes meeting people first) and there will be another orientation she'll do soon. Those are every few months. I can give you some more links, too, if you'd like some reputable information. I know it's hard to find, and with the advent of the intarwebs there's a lot of information to sift through, too ( ... )
