social security is a bunch of fucktards.

Mom looked at her bank statement for this month and saw that she hadn't been deposited her money from Social Security this month. She called the local office to see what the problem was ( Read more... )

Sounds like a typical responce form a social security office. Having delt with them for some time down here while caring for Dad. I've had go through a lot of the same type of things...(or should I say..."thingys" hehe) that you're dealing with.
The majoritory of people there are very much the "proud type" who don't want to admit when they are wrong. Although, calling them "fucktards" isn't really the way to get on their side.

I do like the idea of going to the meida about it. It might help open their eyes to things.

Hope things are getting better soon, 'Cole.

That's typical? Meh... They they're SSI, they don't like being told they made a mistake. I just think calling them "fucktards" is appropriate when talking about them; for the appeal I used nicer words like "you" and "they" and such. but elsewhere, it's much more satisfying to call them a name. lol.

I may or may not go the media about it. Seems like ti would be too much work, plus school starts on the 20th and I have 3 art studio classes this semester.

SS can be a bitch sometimes. But I've seen some lawyers advertised on TV on how they help clients with SS problems. They've helped out people who's been denied by SS many times, so you may wanna at least research local lawyers who've worked with SS denials.

Now that you mention it, I remember them, too. The people on TV, I mean. I would see if I could contact some, but we really don't have the money to do it. In the letter I was sent, they had a list of lawyers, and they said that some of them don't charge anything unless you win your case, but who knows what amount they'd want. I wouldn't win money at once anyway, like a normal court case involving money; I'd get a certain amount per month to live on. Who knows how long I'd be paying them. :/ Lawyers kinda scare me in that way.

Last time I checked, you're not supposed to write your nasty personal opinions in a professional government agency letter to someone.

OOH! OOH! I was SO close to doing that today because of the retarded system I have to deal with! But then I realized that if I did as such - they would never let me back into the States again.

Like....this program is slower than molasses. kthx. -__- It updated TEN MINUTES LATER with the info. omfg.

This is also an issue as to why I keep holding off on actually getting citizenship. That and when we actually went to the Consulate, the woman didn't even bother to tell us WHY I couldn't. She was just like. No. YOU CAN'T.

She didn't ever offer to explain to us HOW we could apply, it was just because she 'has power', big frigging WHOOP. It's part of mahz inhertance bitch! >:O

bah. stupid people. why is fucktardation all over the place?

huzzah!

It would have felt so good to write the 'un-professional stuff' down - wouldn't it? X3

GRR to your consulate person! D:Maybe try to see someone else? I hate to sound sexist, but maybe see a guy. Down here, at least, women in power tend to really like the fact they they have power and use it. Not to say that that's everyone, by any means... but for some reason, those are the types I run into 9 times out of 10. I've only met one guy that was bitchy... well, it was only really minorly irritated, because he was really busy at the time, and had to think a few minutes about how to answer my question. He was multitasking pretty good, though ( ... )

No no - it's true, there are women out there that are so power hungry that once they get it they turn into power hungry bitches. Yet I do know two women at each customs that have always been nice to me. In reality they're all just doing thier jobs. Some have bigger prioritites than others but yeah.

Is there a way to talk to someone on the phone? If you could do that and call back, it might transfer you to someone different each time (that's how places tend to work, in my experience, though it may or may not be that way ( ... )

Sure, why not. I can make sure of exact details with my mom, if they're interested.

I feel you babe. it took us a couple of years to get Dad's disability (same red tape) when most diabetics don't live to be as old as him. They tried to fight it. We almost starved.

Then, when it finally went through, we got a lump sum we ended up having to pay taxes on. That took a nice chunk of the money we had been waiting on. Nice, huh?

We're ok now so just remember, it all works out in the end. I promise.
